Trail Report – : Iron County, Michigan – March 7, 2025

Reporter:Colleen
Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: 10-14 inches
Date of Report: March 7, 2025
Area Report:

Good morning everyone, well as everyone knows we had quite the snow blow through on Wednesday.  We received lots of heavy wet snow – about 12 inches maybe a little bit more further north. With the storm came lots of wind which did bring down a few trails onto the trails. Thursday was spent cleaning and working on getting the trails cleared from the down trees and today the clubs will start working on grooming again. Please remember, this was a very wet snow fall.. so you may run across water here and there on some of the trails.. but the groomer operators will do their best to groom the new fallen snow.

Today operators will be out on Trail #2, Trail #107, Trail #116, Trail 15 N, and Trail #111 from the junction of 15 N. to Sidnaw. It’s been a long 2 days for these guys so be sure to give Thumbs Up when you meet them and please pull over to the right when riding.

The trails may be a little more narrow with the down trees and heavy snow on the branches.  I’m sure it will be a beautiful riding this weekend. Temps are going back up on Sunday and Monday again.
