Late Season Riding – All Conditions

It’s officially Late Season Riding. ALL conditions depending where you ride. Woods trails are still GOOD but soft.Trails along roads on the south side are GOOD. North side trails are in rough shape & POOR. Best riding is heading NORTH or EAST. Roads & road crossings area a challenge & POOR. Next SNOW off & on Thursday thru next Monday.  Right now it looks like 2-3 inches of SNOW total.  It’s March & temps pop up during the day into the 30’s.  At night in the teens helping to freeze, building a base & hold the SNOW. It’s ADVENTURE SLEDDING. Time to ride it when we got it.

Out Eagle River -Sno-Eagles Country riding west & south of Boulder Junction is a good bet.  But everywhere conditions change quickly.

No grooming last tonight. There was one groomer out fixing the birm on Trail 10/13 in town by Holiday Station South & Friendship House Restaurant area. Rest waiting for colder temps & more SNOW.

With the number of accidents & fatalities this season remind you:

When you come upon a group of sleds in front of you on the trail.  Passing them can get you in trouble.   Have been seeing this all winter.  When an entire group passes, by the time the last sled passes, a sled could be coming from the other direction.

Remember as you ride & meet a groomer the equipment is NOT able to leave the trail due to it’s weight.  Pull over & stop.  Wait for direction from the driver.  Give ’em a thumbs up.  They groom so we can ride!

Please ride on the right side, slow down, limit alcohol & no off trail riding.

Catish & Eagle Lake trails are marked with orange barrels.  There is heavy surface slush over the hard ice.  Be sure to stay by barrels.  DO NOT assume all lakes are safe.

THINK COLD!!!  Keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!

See ya on the woods trails!  RIDE RIGHT!
