Trail Report – : Kenosha County, Wisconsin – December 31, 2020

Reporter:Nick

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 5-7 inches

Date of Report: December 31, 2020

Area Report:

Unfortunately we’ve had riders that have  chosen  not to ride responsibly and have violated trail ethics and trespassed on unmarked land resulting with the landowner closing all trails through his property. These closings encompass the trail from the Illinois stateline and  The Village of Twin Lakes/ Twin Lakes Country Club.

Despite our efforts we still have  people who think that snowmobiling is a right and ignoring the fact that it is a priviledge bestowed upon us by landowners.

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Snow Cover: 8+

Date of Report: December 31, 2020

Area Report:

We had over 8″ of snow and trails are open and we are just starting to groom as the Jane Addams was done last night and we will be doing  other trails starting to day so it should be a great weekend of riding in north west Illinois so make plans to come out and ride with us. PLEASE stay on marked trails if you don’t we will lose them. ‘Please remember to feed the trail boxes as we have cultmulced all our chisel plowed fields and now are grooming and the tractor does like to burn fuel and it is all out of our pocket as our great state is real slow to repay us. AS ALWAYS RIDE SAFE AND ENJOY

Trail Report – : Sayner, Wisconsin – December 30, 2020

Reporter:SaynerStar Lake Barnstormers

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 4-5″

Date of Report: December 30, 2020

Area Report:

Well folks, last night’s snowfall brought us 4″ and all 11 clubs in Vilas county have agreed on a trail opening date of Friday, Jan. 1 at 8am.  This is welcome news to so many braapers and local businesses.  While we’ve been anxiously waiting for this to happen, it’s important to have a realistic understanding of what the trail conditions will be like.

The Sayner Star Lake Barnstormers panned our entire system last week and again today.  Last night’s snow was certainly a good start, but there are still many ruts and holes that will need much more snow to fill.  So, please ride carefully and anticipate some rough areas.

Overall, conditions going into the weekend will be fair to good.  Expect heavy traffic this weekend to take it’s toll on things.  The lakes have varying ice conditions, so be sure to ride only where they have been marked.

Keep up the snow dances and let’s get some more of that white stuff!!
