SNO-EAGLES
EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
Good on Average

Temps are a roller coaster.  Next 2 days 30’s daytime then 20’s for highs until Sunday.  Hopefully SNOW starting Sunday. All depends on the temps. Might be slushy precip.  Stay tuned.

Riding yesterday was really good. 10E heading west into town.  All SNOW covered except a short section that was thin & at road crossings.   10/13 “the grade” section where 10 connects with 13 was excellent to the Dairy Queen.  Love that section.  Headed west on the combo trail 70/17/13/7 heading to St. Germain.  All SNOW covered.  The section from the Town of Lincoln Hall to Oak Ln a little choppy, but SNOW covered.  From Oak Ln all the way out to the 70W connect with the St. Germain trails at the old gravel pit was nearly all Good some Fair.  All St. Germain trails were Good to Very Good.   Visited family off Hwy 155 & then headed home taking 6 to Corridor 15/70A to the intersection east of St. Germain at the Hwy O crossing.  Trail 15 into Sugar Camp trails which was Very Good to where it connects to trail 7 aka Paintball Field along Hwy H into Sno-Eagles Country.  7 was Good to Very Good. To trail 17 along Hwy 17N back onto trail 70 back to Eagle River, which was Good. Took the grade back home on 10E.  Groomer was out grooming 10 so even smoother ride home.

Nearly a full grooming last night – TRAILS NOT GROOMED
Trail 70W/17/13/7 heading basically west of town toward St. Germain & south toward Sugar Camp & back to Eagle River.  3 spur trails off of 10E.  9 miles WAS GROOMED.

Eagle & Catfish Lake trails are open & marked.   Take it slow.  Hard rough & some shiny ice. Always stay by the orange reflective barrels to be safe.

Some reminders when you ride. Have a Map or Phone App. As you ride you might meet a groomer.   They are big & can’t pull over for us.  So pull over & let the driver direct you.  And oh ya give ’em a thumbs up.  They groom so we can ride!!!

Last, off trail riding is a big problem.  In Eagle River there is a re route of Trail 10/13 that heads north out of Eagle River.  The change is at the intersection with Trail 17N. Across the highway from the Best Western Derby Inn.  The landowner closed a section.  The trail is clearly marked heading around the gas company.  It comes out at the Hwy G road crossing.  Despite clearly signing & orange fencing riders are riding off trail.  If this section is closed there will be no direct trail route heading north out of town. If you see orange fencing it is because the landowner is thinking of closing trail. PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL.  No off trail riding is allowed.

Keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!  THINK COLD!

Trail work today.  Riding again Thursday!
