Area Report:

Today, we’ve mid 30s and sun.  These temps are making the trails a little mushy, especially in the afternoons.  Bare spots have started to develop in some areas and the sun will expand those spots quickly.

For now, we have still been grooming nightly.  We do have some hills that have become too icy for the groomers to safely navigate, so in those sections, we have limited or stopped grooming.  The TIN numbers for these areas are 220-228, 353-359, 344-362.  Be aware that if these trails aren’t as smooth, that’s why.

Weather dictates everything this time of year.  There isn’t much we can do when the temps get too warm.  Your best riding will always be first thing in the morning.  That’s when you’ll find freshly groomed trails that haven’t been softened by the warmer temps or wrecked by traffic.  Afternoon to evening riding will be the most questionable.

Remember to pay attention to the closed trail signs.  Ride right, slow down, ride safe!!
