First, with the larger groomer down and off to repair, the Northern Hornshoe Trails club extends a huge thank you to James, a groomer from Mercer Area Snogoers who spent 16 hours overnight on Saturday/Sunday to groom Trail 17. Wow, just wow. This is what the snowmobile community is all about!
With the recent warm up & rain Thursday all of our trails have held up well & didn’t lose a lot of base though we got almost none of the 1-3″ predicted snow over this weekend. The roads have lost the snow pack & ice in most places. Slushy lakes have smoothed out & froze down. Advise staying near the markers & not wonder off or you may find yourself in pockets of slush.
Fence lake is still not marked & wont be until we get more cold temps. Be cautious out there. Remember to stay right & 55 at night.
