Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 12-15 inches
Date of Report: March 7, 2023
Area Report:
We lucked out again… we have (5-6 inches) of new snowfall over night into today. Getting reports back from both snowmobile clubs they are out grooming and trails are looking good to very good. Snow is in the forecast on Wednesday and again on Friday this week. Temps are holding in the mid 30’s all week and teens at night.. so perfect temps for grooming and riding.
Trails over all are in Good to Very Good Condition…. on the down side intersections and parking lots are very thin or bare.. but trails are good. Looks like at least (1) more week for good riding.
Very Good Conditions – Trail #2, Trail #116, Trail #18, Trail #113, Trail #16, Trail #107
Good Conditions Trail #15 S. and Trail #111.
Trail #15 N. to the intersection of trail #111 remains closed for the season and Trail #16 from Sagola to Trail # 5 remains closed for the remainder of the season as well.
All other trails should be in “Good to Very Good Condition” this week. Not sure if this will be the last good week/weekend for riding… but we will be sure to keep you updated!
“Thank you” to everyone who came up riding this winter season.. we hope you have enjoyed our trail system in Iron County.. “Thank You” to both snowmobile clubs for doing such a wonderful job with the weather we have had and the work that went into keeping the groomers up and out on the trails… “Thank you” to the operators and all the time you donate in keeping the trails smooth and a joy to ride on… without everyone’s help and cooperation we wouldn’t have a snowmobile trail system.
As always, let’s not forget Ride Right.. Give the Groomers the right away.. Thumbs-Up when you see a Groomer and please slow down when you see approaching sleds.
Have a Great Ride and Happy & Safe Sledding everyone!! 🙂
