Area Report:
Our trail system is open and in very good to excellent condition. The forecast for tonight into tomorrow says to expect 1-3 inches of new snowfall. Temps are in the 20’s during the day and dipping down at night. Both clubs have their groomers and operators out on the trails grooming getting them ready for a good weekend coming up. When you see them on the trails, and you will see them, give them a “Thumbs-Up”! They appreciate it almost as much as you appreciate the flat trails to ride on.

If you come across any trees or obstacles in a trail, please note what trail it is on and contract one of the snowmobile clubs. Iron Range Trail Club maintains the west side of the county and The Chippewa Sno-Kats maintain the east side of the county. It’s been such a great site seeing all the sleds out this past January. With trails being so good we are expecting February to be just as busy. As always, please ride right and watch the corners for any oncoming traffic. We hope everyone has a great time and stays safe!!

Ski Brule Mountain – 100% open (Thursday – Sunday)
Michigan Free Fishing weekend is coming up February 14 – 15, 2026. No permit or license needed on these 2 days. Please follow the fishing regulations provided online at the Michigan DNR website.
Guys and girls – don’t forget about your “Sweetheart” on Valentines Day. February 14th 🙂
Young’s Annual Winterfest is scheduled for February 21st… near Chicaugon Lake. They have lots of festivities planned throughout the day!

Trail passes/permits can be purchased online or, also purchased at most (Circle K and Krist) gas stations through-out the county.
