1/19/2026 – 8:44am – 3 below – High 3 SNO-EAGLES Couple new inches of SNOW overnight. Headed into a really COLD spell for the next week. Single digits during the day, even some below zero highs. Double digit below zero at night. The SNOW last night looks like the last SNOW for a while. Maybe some Lake Effect. Base is hard ice with plenty of SNOW on top. With the cold coming SNOW will get crusty & there may be “fast” aka slippery conditions. So slow down. GTS Tracking shows almost a full grooming last night. Here is what was NOT GROOMED Couple of notices: Trail 10/13 aka Wisconsin River Bridge section is open frozen on the trail base. Don’t off trail ride as there is still water off trail. Trail is icy & rough. Reminder that Trail 13S does not run all the way to Three Lakes as a portion was closed. Club is working on a re route. Eagle Lake was marked by businesses. Safety lights at entrance & exit from/to the lake trail have been installed. Catfish Lake is NOT MARKED. Uncertain it will open as there are no businesses open on the lake this winter. If you ride during the cold snap be sure to tell someone where you are riding; don’t ride alone; fully charged phone; dress in layers; tell someone where you are headed; stop more often to warm up & drink warm drinks, refrain from drinking alcohol.
