Fair to Good condition – Conditions changing quickly

Lake Effect SNOW as I report this morning 6 miles east of Eagle River.  But here comes the warm up. Weather guys forecasting temps & 30’s & even 40’s until next Friday.   Right now trails are Good to Fair & grooming continues.  With a warm up conditions will change quickly.  So get out & ride now!  Trails that run on the north & west side of road breakdown first keep that in mind when you ride.  As always woods riding is the best.  Road routes are for the most right ice covered on the edges & right of ways on the roads in most place still have hard snow. Some road routes are hard snow covered as of this morning, like Taylor Lake Rd that is part of 10E.  Adventure Sledding time!

GTS app shows the following trails groomed last night.  Almost full grooming session.  Right click on the map to see an enlarged version,

  • Trail 10W/13N heading north from the grooming along Hwy 45N near the WCDC Snowmobile Race Track.  All the way up the intersection(by Derby Inn) with Trail 3/17N.  Snow covered last night.
  • Trail 3/17N heading north along Hwy 45N to the intersection where trails split.  The section on the west side just before the intersection is thin & a bit rough.
  • Trail 3N along Hwy 45N to the connect with 10W/13N.  A re route & choppy all the way.
  • Trail 10W/13N from intersection with 3N to the Conover Sno-Buddies connect.  Good.
  • Trail 17N heading east all the way to Columbus Road intersection. Fair riding.
  • Trail 1 that splits of of 17N & head to Eagle Lake.  It runs along Deerview Ln & then Town Hall Rd. Remember to ride the trail that is in the ROW.
  • Tail 10/13 through town past the Ice Castle & down the Grade which is 10E.  All of 10E groomed out to the turn around at the Three Lakes Club to include 9mile spur trail.  Heading east on the one-way is Good to Fair.  Heading back to town heading west Fair with Poor sections. Snirty.
  • Trail 70/13/7 heading west (behind the Dairy Queen). Trail 70W groomed to the St. Germain BoBoen connect. Trail 13S groomed to connect with Sugar Camp at Ripco Rd.  Trail 7 groomed to Sugar Camp connect at Hwy H. Good to Fair.

Eagle Lake & Catfish Lake crossing are safe only by the orange reflective barrels.  No surface slush as of this morning.  That may change with the warm up.

We got snow right now!  Ride when got it.  See ya on the trails!
