12/23/2025 – 12:15pm – 35 degrees – High 35 SNO-EAGLES Another warm up . Reached the high for today. Teens at night. SNOW Christmas night & 12/26 in the AM. At night in the teens. This warm up ends Sunday night with a low of 6 & high of 13 om Monday the 29th. THINK COLD & Loud SNOW DANCE! The hard ice base should hold the trails. Well the trails in Eagle River are best east & north. Not riding today. Here’s what we saw yesterday the 22nd. If you ride 10E from town SNOW covered, thin in some areas to the Sport Arena. Roads routes as of yesterday were hard SNOW/ice covered. Where you drop down at the Sports Arena some snirt. From the Sports Arena snow covered heading east on the one way out way beyond MJ’s Wayside. Except the bridge area by Boat Sport. Heading west toward town snow covered except areas by bridge, big pines across from Catfish Lake Rd. Snirty there & a few others areas. Trail 10/13 through towns is hard snow/ice covered with thin loose SNOW from Dairy Queen all the way out heading north. Grade north after crossing Hwy G is rough & hard. Did not ride 10/13 aka Wisconsin River Bridge area. Trail 70W out of town a mixed bag of conditions. Farther on the high hill hard, icy & snirty. Did not ride Trail 7 off 70W. Groomer Tracking System app shows panning through town & west on Trail 70 to St. Germain turn around. Also Trail 7/13 to the Sugar Camp trails turn around. Also the Club trail off Hwy G that connects to Trail 10W/13N. Vila County & the Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance voted to use donated safety funds for beacon lighting. It will be installed at the entrance/exit of lakes. They will flash red, green & white. This should help riders find the exit off the lake. Right click on the announcement to enlarge. Happy to report a new spur off the Trig’s trail. It takes you Chubby’s Family Restaurant.
