Trail Report – : Conover, Wisconsin – March 15, 2026

Reporter:snobuddies
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 18'+
Date of Report: March 15, 2026
Area Report:

We went out last night and groomed our trails. It was a little bit of everything, some areas bare from evil sun, a few water spots, then in others there was enough snow to have small moguls. Started snowing around 11pm on Saturday night and hasn’t stopped. This will take care of the bare road routes.

Be aware that some lakes are no longer marked with barrels. In our area, Pioneer Lake and Buckatabon Lake have pulled the barrels off. North Twin Lake is still marked. Stay by the barrels when crossing.

The Cemetery Trail from Muskrat Creek Rd south to Church Rd is closed. Also the Chicago Ave spur trail off of Trail 3 is closed due to standing water on the trail. Just south of there is the Sno-Eagles 10/13 trail that goes west off of Trail 3 crossing the Wisconsin River is closed also. As you ride in other areas of Vilas County, be aware there are other trails closed due to swamps opening up with standing water. And with the amounts of snow they are calling for and high winds, there might be trees coming down  blocking the trails.

We won’t be grooming on Sunday night due to the limited visibility. We will check on it Monday and see what we can do. It might be best to let the sleds beat the snow down. Either way, we have the snow to hopefully carry us a few more weeks. The trails will close for the season on March 31st regardless.

Ride Right, Ride Safe.
