Trail Report – : Conover, Wisconsin – January 25, 2026

Reporter:snobuddies
Trail Conditions: Excellent
Snow Cover: 8-12”
Date of Report: January 25, 2026
Area Report:

So, with the extreme cold, we have shortened the time we are out grooming. Basically we have groomed the entire Conover trails over 2 days. Tonight we hit everything that wasn’t groomed last night.

Trails are holding up nicely, we are trying to do as little cutting as possible so we don’t pull up ice chunks. There were a few corners pushed out down to the frozen ground. So as you ride, slow down in corners as they will be icy.

Funny how we usually refer to the “evil sun” being out during the winter, but not today. Forecast is for light snow Monday and a gradual warm up into this coming weekend.

Remember to dress for the cold temperatures by wearing layers, find someone to ride with, have a charged cell phone, and having a back-up heated shield cord along with you.

Watch out for the large ice heave on North Twin Lake. It is marked with signs, barrels, and green flashing beacons. Please slow down and cross next to the barrels.
