Trail Report – : Conover, Wisconsin – February 8, 2026

Reporter:snobuddies
Trail Conditions: Excellent
Snow Cover: 10-12”
Date of Report: February 8, 2026
Area Report:

We have groomed the entire Conover trail system Friday and Saturday night. The usual trails that get a lot of traffic were their usual condition, we did our best to smooth them back out. Traffic was low last night, so hopefully with the cold temps last night, they froze in nice and flat.

We keep getting very light snow falls of an inch or less. We could use a good 4-6 wet snow fall to freshen up the trails, but we are still working with what we have. A few areas are getting bare but not bad. Road routes do have some snow on them, but towns have been plowing them off and winging the edges off.

Remember to follow the barrels when crossing lakes. There is a large ice heave out in the middle of North Twin Lake. A few sleds have gone wide of the barrels and hit the ice heave where it is quite a bit higher than the rest of the ice. If you cross where the barrels are with lights, it is pretty flat now.  Also, the night time speed limit is 55 mph everywhere.
