Snow Cover: 10-12” with Solid Ice Base

Took a ride around Conover today and trails were in excellent shape. While we were out, we got hit with a quick 2-3” snow fall over about 3 hours.
As we close out February and move into March, we are in for a roller coaster of temperatures. By Friday, they are calling for a warm day, then right back to the arctic freeze. There are also predictions of more snow. The base on the trails in the woods are doing very well. Areas where the evil sun can hit have thinned it out. As long as we keep getting snow to build the base back up, we will be fine.
There is a few things going on this weekend in Conover. We have the Poker Run draw party this Saturday at Twin Lake Pub. Prizes for best hands, raffle baskets, 50/50s’ , and more. Also, the Kids Snowmobile races (WKSRA) will be at the Town Park Saturday and Sunday. Racing starts at 10am. It is a sight to see these kids race.
