Reporter:Threelakeswi

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 15 inches

Date of Report: February 12, 2026

Area Report:

It’s cold this morning but the warm temps will arrive this afternoon and will last through the weekend. We are looking at low 40’s all weekend and into early next week.  We expect to see a lot of traffic this weekend for the President’s Day Weekend. Trails in the woods & where there is less sun should hold up. Roads and over exposed areas may not fair as well. Our town has been great about not plowing roads all the way down so this may help this weekend. We will be out grooming this weekend if temps are below freezing at night. After this warm up we are looking a a chance for snow next weekend with temps back at or below freezing.  Do the snow dance! While you are out and about this weekend checkout the Three Lakes Tavern League Poker Run. Cards are available at local bars and restaurants. Party is Sat. Night at Spirit View Lakeside. Sunday Northern Lights Snowmobile Club will have a chili dump on Trail 8 (the Upper Kimbell Trail) at the horse area. Hope to see you on the trails!!

Trail Report – : Conover, Wisconsin – February 12, 2026

Reporter:snobuddies

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: Hard Ice Pack

Date of Report: February 12, 2026

Area Report:

Well, here we go. Our February warm up is coming this weekend. We have been pretty fortunate up till now that any minor warm up came during the week, not on a busy weekend. Trail conditions will change quickly from hard ice base to soft and mushed out corners. We will have to monitor night time temperatures to see if we can groom.

Last night we only hit the busiest trails, all trails were hit on Tuesday night.

The next weather system is predicted to be here next Wednesday. Hopefully it is all snow and plenty of it. We will need it after this warm spell.

Remember to follow the barrels when crossing lakes. There is a large ice heave out in the middle of North Twin Lake. A few sleds have gone wide of the barrels and hit the ice heave where it is quite a bit higher than the rest of the ice. If you cross where the barrels are with lights, it is pretty flat now.  Also, the night time speed limit is 55 mph everywhere.

Right Right, Ride Safe
