The Clubs of the Vilas County Alliance voted here is the official announcement from the Vilas County Parks & Recreation Administrator.

Sno-Eagles would like to Thank the business and landowners who have given continued support to the Sno-Eagles and the sport of snowmobiling in the Eagle River area.   Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Club would also like to thank many of the dedicated volunteers who continue to make the best possible trails and conditions for our many residents & guests to enjoy.

Without volunteer club members, business support and wonderful land owners there would be no snowmobile trail system in Eagle River or Vilas County.

Hope you rode it when we had it.  See you on the trails next season!

Trail Report: Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin – March 6, 2017

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: 2-6

Date of Report: March 6, 2017

Area Report:

I just spoke with Dale Mayo (Vilas County Parks and Recreation Administrator) and let hem know our opinion.
In the interest of safety and a quality snowmobiling experience, The MW Sno Skeeters are in favor of temporarily closing the trails.
We have water issues in the swamps and poor trail coverage in general.
If we see winter again and have a chance to reopen before the end of March we would be more than happy to do what it takes to Re Open.

News and Reports:

Also a big thanks to our trail Boss Mark Smit and Groomer operators: Bob Skrobot, Chris Sindberg, Mike Swatek, Bryan Klug & Wes Lupa!
