Trail Report: Bergland, Michigan – November 1, 2017

Trail Conditions: Closed

Snow Cover: Bout 18″

Date of Report: November 1, 2017

Area Report:

We’ve received two good bouts of snow – and a total of about 18″ over the last 5 days.   What we really need now are some good strong cold temperatures for numerous consecutive days to firm up the ground before we start dancing for Mother Nature to turn on the snow machine.   Trails are not open till December 1st so get all your “to do” lists taken care of and your Christmas shopping done early – so when December 1st rolls around – you can roll to the U.P.!

We are taking reservations for the 2018 sled season -give us a call so that your group gets the room they want!.   We are located right on the North Shore of Lake Gogebic with access to seven major trails within 3 miles!

SEE YOU SOON!!

Rick of the Fifield Sno-Drovers Snowmobile Club reports that “Since we’ve had good turnout for workdays in October we got through all of our trails. While they are VERY WET, the trails are all passable.  We are cancelling our scheduled workdays for November.   We will, however, get a couple scheduled in December once we see how the weather progresses and the new signs get made and delivered.   I will communicate these as soon as we have dates.  THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT FOUND TIME TO HELP GET THE TRAILS TO THERE CURRENT CONDITION!

Sounds like the trails in their section of Price Country are brushed and new signs will be installed yet this year. Thanks club members!

The new Price County Snowmobile Trail Map will be available around December 1, 2017. Call 715-339-4505 to  pre-order a copy of the new map. Make sure you ask for the NEW map to be sent once it is available. Happy trails!
