Area Report:
Douglas County Received 1 – 4 inches of fresh snow across the county last weekend. Most trails have been groomed and are in fair Riding conditions. We need more snow. There are still areas of dirt poking through on some of the trails. As Grooming reports come in the Trail Conditions will be updated. Douglas County Forestry does not maintain any trails across lakes. If you would like information of specific trails please contact the Snowmobile club in that area.
It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property. Please Stay On Marked Trails.
Please share this info with anyone that you believe would be interested…our goal is to inform as many trail riders as possible.
Please check with neighboring counties to ensure the trails are open before you ride!

Snowmobile Information:
1/21/22: All county trails are open. Trails are generally in “good” condition based on the cover – base is still very thin, and there are still rocks that are only covered with powder, so be careful on the hills. We got 2 inches of fresh snow on Tuesday, and the forecast is calling for another 2 inches tonight, so things are shaping up nicely… Lakes have re-frozen relatively solid, with 6-10″ of ice, depending on the lake. Foot travel or snowmobile only is advised. Lots of Northerns, Crappies and Bluegills being taken. I’m posting some additional club info below: – Woody 1/18/22 – Fifield Sno Drovers: The trails in the Fifield/Pike Lake area are all open and groomed. The trail conditions vary from good to very good, but snow remains thin. Some segments still have rocks coming through. We got 2 inches of snow on Tuesday, and more on the way. Trails are the best we’ve had so far this season, so get out there and ride! 1/19/22 – Driftsplitters Kennan/Catawba Trails: The club is continuing to groom on a regular schedule, trails are in good shape. Trail 94 has been opened back up 1-18-22, groomed and in good shape. We have ongoing logging operations on trail 94 – about 1/2 mile of dozed trail south of 3 Mile Bar & Grille, trail 181 east of intersection 100 halfway to Prentice, and trail 80 south of intersection 100 going to Taylor Cty, two operations each dozed about 2 miles. All dozed trails have little to no snow. Use caution when meeting logging equipment. 1/11/22 – NorthWoods Hi-Riders: We are happy to report the trails around the Solberg Lake area are generally in good to very good condition. All trails are now on a regular grooming schedule. It is still early season, so there may be a few thin spots and be on the lookout for rocks and branches on the trail – please be courteous and stop to clear any debris off the trail to keep you and other riders safe.

Hello Riders!
Get ready for another good weekend of riding! And looks like some better temps! All of the groomers have been out an active this week. We got a bit of fresh snow early in the week that froze up with the cold temps. Most trails are reported to be good, some better than others and some still have some rocks or are a little slick on the corners. Lake riding is awesome!
Sno-Mads has been out and busy all week on 77, 8, 31, 22. Nelson Lake area today and 63 tonight.
Musky Sno has been out in the Round Lake and Spider Lake to Lost Land Lake and Moose Lake area. South to the Flowage Brian has been out.
Loretta Trailblazers has been out in the Flambeau and reports to be good.
Winter Huskies has been out on the Tuscobia and surrounding trails and reported to be really good! They has a busy weekend hosting the snow cross race and jumped straight into the groomers and hit it hard!
Sno Trails had some equipment issues this week but as always, worked hard and fast to complete repairs and have been working hard to make up for lost time before the weekend.
Birchwood has been out this week grooming both the Sawyer County and Washburn County side. Trail 3 and 31 and their portion of Tuscobia was groomed. They report they are fair-good after the freshen up of snow. Some gravel here and there on the Tuscobia. They report many have thrown rocks off the trails so to you riders who have stopped to help a huge thank you!!
You can view grooming updates as well on the app GTS (Grooming Tracking Systems) and see what trails were groomed within 24-96 hours. It’s been a great resource this season!
