It’s that time of year. Heading to the start of the season for sled head people. The big show and swap at HAYDAYS in North Branch , Minnesota. 
I will be on grounds checking new products and talking with our sponsors. If you find me I should have Snowtracks stickers with me. 
Can’t wait to see new sleds and old friends. Hope to interview lots of top sled people. So stay tune for all the fun.

Area Report:

Had a great time at he Tri Par reunion. The MERC sled was top sled in 74,75 and 76 for racing. Had some great interviews with top Merc people. See Snow Tracks Facebook for those interviews.

Getting ready in two weeks for Haydays. Can’t wait for all the swap and great friend to meet. Will have interviews from the show and swap.

Remember lots of shows coming up. West Bend and Wausau and many more.

Area Report:

First snow shows and swaps started today in Eagle River Wisconsin. At the derby track there is a swap and show today and tomorrow. August 19th and 20th. 
I could not make the show due to other commitments.

Starting a new area to pass on info. I promote for Snowtracks.com and Facebook Snow Tracks and Snowtrackers.. We try to give you info in the sport. 
This weekend I am attending a reunion for Tri Par Merc racers. The Merc was a great race sled in 74,75 and 76. Merc then closed the doors on making sleds. This reunion will bring Merc drivers from about 4 or 5 states together. I can’t wait to meet all these racers. I will be doing live interviews from the reunion.

Area Report:

Well it’s the end of another snowmobile season. I must say this was by far one of the best years for trail riding in the UP. We had perfect weather conditions and we hit just over 300″ of snow this year. Hope you got a chance to ride our world class trails here in the Keweenaw. Until next year everyone enjoy your summer and I hope to see you on the trails soon.

Sorry but unfortunately we were never able to get going in walworth county this year due to poor snow conditions. Clubs have started pulling stakes out of the ground and are preparing for spring. Hopefully we have some better luck next year! Thank you to all of our clubs and volunteers that make our trail system happen every year. We hope you all have a nice summer and we will see you again in the fall. If your not a member of a club, please consider joining one next year!

Area Report:

The storm Tuesday and Wednesday left us with quite the mess. Lots of ice making for a lot of low hanging branches and downed trees on our trail system. I spent 4 hours brushing  today and only got 2 miles. Looks like grooming is going to start back up tonight and I’ll be going out in the morning. So it’s not over yet more snow forecasted Tuesday thru Thursday which gets us right up to April 1st.

Grooming in the Lake Gogebic Area has been suspended for the season.     Gogebic Area Grooming and all the local area businesses would like to say thank you for a tremendous season!      We will look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
