Great news this morning. All Vilas County trails will open today! Got your sled gassed up & facing out in the garage?
More SNOW yesterday with a total of 14 inches on the ground. Grooming in full force building a base. Spoke with the new President, Keith yesterday. He told me trails in Early Season Riding. Manske Swamp, Trail 3 and a portion of Trail 17S just south of the Paintball Field, Trail 7 have mushy spots. Wisconsin River Bridge, Trail 10/13 heading west is good to go and tight. Riding Christmas Day & will have a better report on all trails then.
Yesterday it SNOWED pretty much all day. Not real heavy but another 4-5 inches. Today the wind is supposed really pick up with gust of 45 MPH. From today to Christmas Eve night the wind will continue. SNOW totals 8-15 north of Vilas which might clip the northwest part of the County. 4-8 for the rest of Vilas! Going to be COLD so dress warm, stop often, have a phone with you, and most important let someone know where you are riding.
Well you all did a great job DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!! Looking like a great opening day today!!!
See ya on the trails Christmas Day!!!
