Snowmobile Information:

Northern Hornshoe trail brushing started October 4, and will continue through October. Saw John Dee’s seasonal forecast for below normal temps, and above average snow for the Northwoods. Weather has been amazing for outdoor projects. Propane tank is full, and a ton and a half of pellets are ready for the stove. Raffle ticket sales were amazing for our club fund raiser. As always, I urge everyone to join a club, and if you belong, don’t be afraid to reach out to help. I am training under Keith to help trail bossin’ this winter. The amount of paperwork, and the network of contacts is staggering. If you aren’t into brushwork, or grooming, every club can use help on a computer. Or just show up at groomer sheds on a Saturday, and grab a broom, or have a coffee, and say hi, and thank you, to the volunteers that make the trails safe, and fun. On our runs north, we often stop at Mercer Snow goers, or White Thunder Riders, sheds. I broke a ski loop handle last year, and Thunder Riders made a mid trail repair for me. We carry tools, and extra gas, on our Hornshoe groomer, to help people in a pinch. Snowmobilers are family, and we look out for one another. Hopefully my next report will have some SNOW to report.
