SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
Adventure Sledding time of the year
Varying conditions
Groomer Tracking Systems (GTS Trails) reports in the last 24 hours:
Trail 10/13 heading north from the Groomer Barn to Conover connect & the east side approach to the Wisconsin River bridge area of trail 10/13
Cloudy this morning & looks to be cloudy all day. High of 35. Low tonight of 19. Tomorrow high of 37 & low of 15. SNOW showers Wednesday night into Thursday. Inch or two.
This is the adventure sledding part of the season. Meaning when you ride you are going to find every sort of condition. SNOW covered. Burn through. Icy. Mushy with even some water especially road crossing. As for road routes most are bare. Under cover sections are shiny ice. This is a time of the season that really requires that you slow down. With the conditions on the trails changing quickly you can get into real trouble when riding.
Suggest if you are riding the woods trails where there is tree cover. South side of trails that run along roads.
Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked. Stay by the orange reflective barrels. Remember not all lakes are safe. No markers means probably not safe
55mph nighttime speed limit.
THINK COLD! KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!
Thinking might ride Thursday. See ya on the trails!
