Red Arrow Townsend – Thursday, February 1, 2018
It’s -4 degrees in beautiful downtown Townsend this morning and all is well. I promised you an upgrade and here it is. “The Trails are in GOOD TO VERY GOOD RIDING CONDITION”. Our groomers were out last night and the drivers tell me that with the 3″ of fresh snow we received yesterday we have full coverage again. Still not enough snow to fill in all of the holes west of town, but pretty darn nice.
Paul Bunyan Riders – Thursday, February 1, 2018
Wednesday the area received 3 inches of fluffy snow. Wednesdays warm temps dropped that down to a couple inches. The groomers were out late last night and with the below 0 temperatures today they have set up very well. We will be out again Friday night to do what we can for the weekend with what we have to work with.
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club – Tuesday, January 30, 2018
Our trails are currently OPEN and in fair to good “Early Season Condition”- meaning there may be areas with dips, ruts, and rocks because we simply have not gotten enough snow yet to fill everything in completely. Trails have been groomed over the past several days and are thin in most places, icy in some areas, but rideable in all areas. Please ride with extra caution, especially in these areas:
The section of trail north of Hwy W up to Mountain Lakes Rd near the Big Y (INT 320) has some rough stretches.
Watch for logging on the 18 Corridor trail west of Hwy 32.
The wooded trail from INT 455 to INT 472 (Old 64) has a few rough spots.
The pipeline trail from Jack Pine north to INT 447 is decent, but the pipeline trail from INT 447 north to Crooked Lake is very rough.
The wooded trail between INT 453 behind the Junction east to Jack Pine Rd has numerous rough spots.
The 18 Corridor trail near Crooked Lake- north and south of Neligan Lake Rd has a few rough spots.
Our groomers will continue to work to make the trails the best they can be. Please be aware they may be out at any time- day or night.
Bagley & Brazeau – Thursday, February 1, 2018
We received 2 plus ” of snow Wednesday. The groomers went out after the snow stopped and also will be going out Thursday. The drivers think the trails will be in good condition for the weekend. The cold weather will help keep the trail in good shape. The weather men think we will be getting more snow for the weekend we can only hope.
