Boulder Junction, Wisconsin

Reporter:boulderwi
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 10-12"
Date of Report: January 5, 2026
Area Report:

At 8:00 AM it’s 23 degrees out with cloudy skies. We received a small amount of new snow and a wintry mix yesterday afternoon through last evening. A warm up is coming tomorrow with high temps above freezing the rest of the week.
We groomed 2W, 8W, 51, and 8E out to Nixon Lake Road yesterday. Our trails except 15S are in good condition, but by the end of the day they have developed moguls and some bare spots on the inside of corners. Right now, 15S is terrible and will be groomed as soon as possible.
During the holidays, we have groomed all of our trails daily except 15S which hasn’t been groomed since overhanging limbs destroyed our groomers side panel on New Years Day morning. Repairs on the groomer are in progress and tomorrow, 1/6, we will be having a work crew out on 15S to remove all remaining overhanging limbs from our last snow storm in order to get our groomers back on it to groom.
Enjoy the trails, ride safe, and stop in and patronize our local businesses.
Look for an updated trail report on Thursday, 1/8.
